Steve cracked a joke when this picture was taken. All our camera's were sitting on the ground in front of Gary, Steve looked down at them and said look at all those ****ing camera's down there. It was funny to hear him curse in person.

And Another Video!!

It was May 6th, 2006 and we had all decided months ago to visit the Star on this day on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame just to take pictures and be together as a group. We got there about 11 A.M and we walked straight to the Star but since the group was not complete yet we continued on down the Blvd just window shopping and stuff....it's funny because someone mentioned "wouldn't it be cool if Steve showed up today?" WHO KNEW!!!!!!!??????

Anyway, when we saw the rest of the group gathered there we went back to the star and before long Lora Beard and Cyndy Poon showed up!!!! Well, we knew from the night before they were meeting us there to take some pictures with our group for memories of the WOF when Journey got their star so nobody was very surprised by them showing up.

We gathered around the star and took a couple pictures with Lora and Cyndy and before long someone looked up and said "OMG, THERE HE IS"!!!!! We all turned around to see STEVE WALKING TOWARDS US ON THE SIDEWALK!!!!!!!!! Its as if he appeared from out of nowhere!!!

Most of us held our hands to our mouths and just said OMG, OMG, OMG over and over!!!!

As he approached the group he put his arms out in the air to his sides and said "What's all the commotion? Is that the Journey star? What is everyone doing here???" SO CUTE!!!

He came over and hugged each of us one at a time then we all walked with him closer to the star and he suggested we take pictures. We were all so excited! We gathered around him at the star and one of the girls husband took our pictures. Then all the cameras started coming out of the bags and Steve said something like "OMG look at all those cameras"!!! He was just so adorable to us!

One of the girls in the crowd asked Steve if we could get individual pictures with him since obviously we ALL couldn't stand beside him at once! He was so gracious and he just smiled really big and said "well, you don't think I dressed up in this suit for nothing do you???" We all cracked up but were very happy he agreed to do that for us!!! Before all the picture taking he stood by the fence to the Musicians Institute and we all gathered in a circle around him. He asked each of us our names and where we were from. He seemed very impressed that we were all from different parts of the country and even Canada!!! He mentioned something to one of our Canadian sister's about trying to buy the Queens tea set when he was in Vancouver Island. He said he wasn't able to get it though. Lora Beard said "Steve, this is Kathy from Indiana," so then he wanted to know where in Indiana she was from. They talked about the White Sox and he thought she went to a game so he asked where she was sitting but she told him it was the rally she attended not one of the games. His eyes lit up as he talked about that and you could tell he was still excited about being with the White Sox when they won the world series! After all the introductions he looked around and asked, "So who is responsible for all of this?", and we all pointed at Kathy!!! He asked her how she did it and she shyly said "well, there is this little place on the Internet called Perryville", and he said "I've heard of it" and smiled at her then turned to Lora and smiled also. He thanked Kathy for putting it all together and said he appreciated her.

Someone asked him about singing again and he said, "I've been writing and I'm practicing the scales and trying to see what I've still got." OMG, couple of the girls looked at each other and said "WHAT HE'S STILL GOT????" Well, let me tell you..........he's STILL GOT IT!!!!!!!!! Oh Yeah, he does!!!! One other thing....when it was Kathy's turn to get her picture taken he held out his arm for her and said "ah yes it's the Queens turn" or something to that effect! She was all smiles!!!

After all the individual pictures were taken he agreed to sign autographs. He signed on pictures or purses or whatever we had with us. There were a couple kids standing nearby with skateboards and he even agreed to sign something for them, he is so sweet!!!! He joked with the youngest one about not even knowing who he was because he was so young!!!

After everything was signed and all the pictures were taken he had to leave us........as he walked away he made a comment about being old and someone told him "You're not old" and he thanked them then he hugged us all goodbye one last time and walked away. Actually, he appeared to be bouncing away and I got the impression he was just as happy as we were that day!!! He turned back at least four times to wave at us before disappearing as suddenly as he appeared!!!!

The summary is Steve Perry is one of the most warm, caring and funniest guys we've ever met!!! He is also WAY HOTTER in person than any of the pictures show!!!!

Pictures don't do the man justice!!!! I'm SURE we ALL agree on that one!!!!

Thank you to Tree, she retold this special time together with Steve exclusively for Perryville.
